This FAQ is for churches hosting the National Gathering of Prayer & Repentance by showing the official NGPR livestream or recorded video to their congregation, prayer team, or small groups.
What does it mean to “host” the NGPR event?
Hosting simply means your church gathers people together and plays the official NGPR livestream or video playback on a TV or projection system in your sanctuary, classroom, or meeting space.
You are not responsible for producing or broadcasting anything — just receiving and playing the stream we provide.
Think of it as hosting a special prayer night where the teaching and worship come from Washington, and the prayer continues in your own room.
What Are the Event Specifics?

EVENT TIME: Live 7 am ET
REPLAY TIMES: At your convenience via the same link on Wednesday Feb 4th
The entire livestream event is about 3 hours long, some choose to watch the first 90 minutes some choose to watch the whole event.
Host sites may playback or download the video at anytime after.

Who should we invite to attend?
You can invite:
Your full congregation
Your prayer team or intercessors
Ministry leaders
Small groups or home groups
Anyone in your church who feels called to pray for the nation
Some churches host it as a main church gathering, others as a focused prayer meeting. Both are great.
What equipment do we need to host the event?
You’ll need just a few basics:
A screen – TV, projector, or large monitor
A device to play the stream – laptop, desktop, smart TV, or streaming box
Reliable internet connection for live viewing (wired is best if available)
Good audio through your sound system or speakers
Audio matters more than video.
People can worship with average video, but they disengage quickly if they can’t hear clearly. Make sure voices and music are loud and clean in the room.
Should we test everything ahead of time?
Yes — and this is huge.
We strongly recommend:
Testing the video link on the same device you’ll use
Testing sound levels through your room speakers
Making sure the internet connection is stable
Having someone assigned to start the stream on time
A 10-minute tech rehearsal can prevent a lot of stress.
Can we use video playback instead of watching live?
Yes. Churches may choose to:
Show the event live at the scheduled time
Play the video later during a service, prayer night, or special gathering
Playback is great for churches that want to schedule it when more people can attend or use it as part of an extended prayer service.
Can we pause the video and pray locally?
Absolutely — and we encourage that.
Many churches choose to:
Pause at certain moments to pray as a group
Pray at the altar
Break into small prayer circles
Let pastors or prayer leaders lead short local prayer moments
This is not meant to be a “sit and watch” experience.
It’s meant to spark real prayer in your own house.
Should our pastor or leader say anything before or after the video?
That’s up to you, but many churches find it helpful to:
Open with a brief welcome and prayer
Explain why the church is participating
Close with local prayer, communion, or worship
This helps your people feel that this is your church’s gathering, not just a video being played.
How long is the event?
The full event runs approximately 3 hours.
If you are doing playback, you can choose to:
Show the full program
Show selected portions
Build additional prayer time before or after
Is there any cost for churches to host?
There is no fee to host the event but we do ask for a donation of any size to help cover our costs.
We simply ask churches to register so we know who is participating and can send you the livestream and playback information.
Can small groups or classrooms host instead of the main sanctuary?
Yes, and many churches do this very effectively.
Small group settings are great for:
Deeper prayer
Discussion
Personal ministry
All that’s needed is a TV or monitor and speakers loud enough for the room.
What if we have technical trouble during the event?
This is like finding and watching a YouTube Video which most of us have doine many times.
But we recommend:
Having one person assigned as the tech point person
Making sure they have access to the stream link and backup device if possible
If you lose the stream temporarily, simply refresh and rejoin.
If you’re using playback, make sure the file is downloaded ahead of time if possible.
Why is it important to gather in person instead of everyone watching alone?
There is something powerful about humbling ourselves together.
Throughout Scripture, national and spiritual turning points happened when God’s people gathered, prayed, and sought Him as one body. Corporate prayer builds unity, spiritual authority, and shared obedience.
This event is about more than content — it’s about posture.
